I too discovered your wonderful podcast via BoingBoing, and am enjoying it immensely. Alas, the MP3 file for episode one still seems to be corrupted. I’ve tried downloading it by both the RSS feed and through iTunes, and like Damon, have also found that it’s truncated at about 1:11 (file size 1,163,620 bytes).

I’m sure it’s just the Boing Boing effect: too many people hitting the file at once and it’s timing out. I get that every now and then from certain popular podcasts. It usually comes through fine if I wait and try again later.

I jumped on board via Mark’s recent BoingBoing link, and have subscribed in iTunes. But I’m having a small technical difficulty maybe you’ve covered somewhere herein already: episode one starts great then stops about a minute in. I found some way of accessing each episode online as an individual mp3, but even though it indicates episode one is 27.5MB, when I download it, it turns out to be only 1.1 and done. At some point, I thought if I just deleted the episode from my library, and tried subscribing again, that’d at least give me a chance of retrieving the full episode, but no dice. Now, I don’t even have that promising first minute! Is there any hope?

I broke my portable cd player when the weather was really
cold. My wool gloves couldn’t hold on to it, and the coat
I had on didn’t have a big pocket…then I read about the
Beatles not being singles only available, and it seemed
right to me. You’re tempting me,but it’ll be my 5th switch
since vinyl.

I’m afraid having people play the stream off the server might overwhelm my host and get me booted for excessive bandwidth use (again). But it’s not hard to figure out where the file is, once you click on the feed link.
