I grew up with this local pitchman and I remember how careful he was to always say "This is Jack Fitzgerald - A Color TV King" as opposed to (what Jack must have considered too presumptuous) "The Color TV King." There was plenty of room for other TV Kings in Jacks' world so he didn't need to overreach. I always found that grammatically strange and yet somehow endearing for a man that i despised for throwing a monkey wrench into Arizonas' anomalous bastion of liberal democratic power down here in Tucson. Imagine what kind of a leisure-suit pompador televangelist powerhouse that guy could have been if he had only been raised Baptist.
