I too thank you! Are all my christmases coming at once ? Just a few hours back, found 'Skyline Pigeon' by Deep Feeling here : http://left-and-to-the-back.blogspot.com ... been after for many years. Now ... 'surprise surprise' .. I've forgotten what it sounds like .. it's currently in the download. I already have their lovely 'Don't you know' (single). Looking forward to hearing other songs !

Perhaps just two unresolved quests remain. Songs I heard on the radio in 1970, or maybe '69 ... that weren't hits.

This COULD have been written by the above guys:

'If you can spare a crust of bread, give me a pillow for my head, wake me with the sun up in the morning, if you can help me you will find, I will be your friend forever, the comfort that you gave me will go with me on my way'. This song has trumpet like fanfares in it, very bubblegum sound. Don't know who sang it, or the title.

The other obscure song .. 1970 ... sounds vaguely like Polly Brown, very slow song, lyrics: 'Without your love, I just can't make it, I'm lost, lost without your love' (that's the chorus). Also starts .... 'I'm so used to being with you, I just don't know, how I'm gonna make it, now that you and I are through, I just don't know, whether I can take it'

Anyone got a clue ?

Cheers.
